The Australian Grocery Academy has been developed in response to the AFGC and industry identifying a critical need to build the skills and capabilities of FMCG suppliers and manufacturers. Its twin objectives are to upskill the capability of commercial teams and attract and retain the best talent.
The program is designed to fast track the capabilities and skills of the next generation of commercial leaders across FMCG suppliers and manufacturers and will take 15 months to complete, including 12 days class time, learning forums and coaching, with a strong emphasis on building capability in the workplace.
It covers four modules - Insight Led Selling & category Managment; Commercial Management; Advanced Customer Management & Negotiation; and Highly Effective Personal Performance. The program was commissioned by the AFGC in late 2016 and the inaugural programs will commence in Melbourne from May 9 to 11, and Sydney, from May 15 to 17.
