As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best in class, strategic business plans across all brand properties to deliver against targets across Australia. You will be responsible for harnessing an already firm presence within a competitive category and work collaboratively across a number of cross functional teams to drive new and existing sales opportunities. This role will drive strategies taking into account the retailer, shopper, consumer and broader competition in order to achieve sustainable growth.
Customer facing, the position will also operate cross-functionally on category critical initiatives like New Product Development.

As the conduit between sales and marketing, you will be tasked with providing support on range reviews and new product initiatives, as well as being the lead for developing category insights and providing recommendations to the wider business.

Category Development Manager, Sydney

Reporting to the Senior Category Development Manager you will focus on driving the category agenda and execute the current year's Category Operating plan.

  • Collaborate effectively with the Customer teams to lead the development of promotional strategies and guidelines.
  • Lead the delivery of the Category Operating plan, identifying and overcome risks
  • Collaborate with broader marketing and key accounts teams to execute those plans
  • Develop the annual account category reviews including key arguments, strategies and presentation templates.
